    2025/11/13

In this session, Erin H. Warren teaches on John 10, which takes place at both the Feast of Tabernacles and the Feast of Dedication. Jesus makes two “I AM” statements: I AM the Door and I AM the Good Shepherd, proving Himself to be the only way to the Father and the more and better shepherd. Unlike the religious leaders, who look out for themselves like the shepherds of Ezekiel 34, Jesus fulfills the role of Good Shepherd, one who cares for, guides, provides for, and protects His sheep.

    2025/10/29

In this session, Erin H. Warren teaches on John 9. Still at the Feast of Tabernacles, Jesus passes a man who was born blind. He heals him, saying that his blindness was so that the works of God may be displayed in his life. The Pharisees question the man and his family, trying to discredit Jesus. They refuse to see truth and are spiritually blind, while this man who was born blind sees and believes. It is the exclamation point on Jesus' statements about living water and "I AM the Light of the World".

    2025/10/25

In this session, Erin H. Warren teaches through John 8. Still at the Feast of Tabernacles, Jesus declares "I AM the Light of the World. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." The Pharisees continue to challenge and question Jesus. Jesus speaks boldly, saying that they are of the devil because they refuse to believe or speak truth. The Jews reference Abraham as their father, but Jesus reminds them that it is not birth that saves them, but faith. With one final bold statement Jesus declares, "Before Abraham was, I AM."

  • S12 Episode 8: So You May Believe - John 7
    2025/10/20

In this session, Erin Warren teaches through John 7, which takes place during the Feast of Tabernacles. Jesus travels to the festival in secret, then begins to teach in the temple. There is confusion about Jesus among the people and the Jewish religious leaders, but despite what people believe, the truth of who Jesus is does not change: He is God, the Son, the Messiah and through Him all find eternal life. On the last day of feast, Jesus stands up and proclaims, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” Some believe; some do not. But the truth remains: all that we need for life is found in Jesus Christ.

  • S12 Episode 7: So You May Believe - John 6
    2025/10/09

In this session, Erin H. Warren teaches through John 6. Jesus feeds 5,000 men with five loaves and two fishes, and the disciples collect twelve baskets of leftovers. While struggling against a storm on the Sea of Galilee, Jesus walks on water and declares "I AM". The next day, crowds follow Jesus seeking more bread for their stomachs, but Jesus proclaims "I AM the Bread of Life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst." Many disciples stop following Jesus. When Jesus asks the twelve if they will go away as well, Peter utters the famous words, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.”

    2025/10/07

In this session, Erin H. Warren teaches through John 5. Jesus heals a lame man on the Sabbath at the pool of Bethesda. After the man tells the Jewish religious leaders who healed him, Jesus boldly tells the Jews that He and the Father are One and gives fives witnesses to prove He is God. This is illustrated in His authority over Sabbath. In Him we have life and rest, and we can trust Him.

In John 4, Jesus "had to" travel through Samaria. There, He has a conversation with a Samaritan woman at a well, offering her living water that gives eternal life. He also reveals to her that He is the Messiah. She shares her testimony with the whole town, and many believe and are saved. Jesus returns to Cana, and an official from Capernaum travels to ask Jesus to heal his son. Jesus tells him to return home and that his son will live. The man believes Jesus, trusts His word, and returns home to find his son recovering. The fever left him at the exact hour Jesus said that his son was well. Both stories remind us that Jesus is true and trustworthy; He is the promised Messiah who satisfies for eternity, providing for us what we cannot provide for ourselves.

    2025/09/18

In John 3, a Pharisee named Nicodemus comes to Jesus by night to ask questions, and Jesus tells him that the in order to be saved you must be born again, born of the Spirit, not of flesh. He uses the story of the Bronze Serpent in Numbers 21 to show how it is a picture of the salvation Jesus offers. Then, many of John the Baptist's disciples note how many are leaving him to follow Jesus. John the Baptist affirms their choice since Jesus from above and greater than himself. Both stories remind us that it is only through belief in Jesus as the Christ that we find eternal life.
