And finally, it all comes down to the ultimate rivalry—the grand finale against Bethune-Cookman University, where bragging rights, honor, and everything in between are laid straight on the line.

UAPB has been at the bottom of the conference for the majority of the teams time within the Southwestern Athletic Conference.

And this year is likely to be more of the same and the Rattlers are playing host to the Tigers.

And on the other end of the rebuilding line we have Southern University who has struggled mightily to get wins against FAMU in the sport of Football.

Let's look at two games at one time.

In addition FAMU basketball has seen some impressive signings that are exciting the base and the Volleyball team is likely to make another huge run to defend the SWAC Title!

Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium has been a house of horrors for the FAMU fan, and in all honesty Jackson State has been a boogy man for the FAMU Fan.

The 2025 contest was an indictment on the football program that reigns fresh in the minds of all who were in Bragg Stadium and the failures of the 2024 contest in Thee Vet also reminds many FAMU faithful of how close this game was.

The hope this year is that FAMU will not only challenge Jackson State but will find a way to turn this House of Horrors upside down.

Last year saw Alabama State finally get over the FAMU sized hump in the schedule in a very lopsided victory over the home Rattlers.

This year's battle has Alabama State sitting again near the top of the SWAC’s preseason polls and expecting to again make a run for the SWAC title.

But here come the Rattlers who seemingly have nothing to play for but everything to gain. The Rattlers get the opportunity to ruin homecoming and preserve the winning streak that has been established in the GUMP.

Alabama A&M and Florida A&M University is not a rivalry of any sort, especially on the football field. This is largely because the Bulldogs have yet to defeat the Rattlers since the two have been in the SWAC.

Well this year the teams meet again with the hopes that we will see more of the same.

But Alabama A&M has a veteran QB that is returning and a 2nd year head coach all while FAMU looks very brand new.

But by this point in the Season FAMU will know what they have and who they are.

Also we are welcoming another personality to the show to see about enhancing the product.

Tennessee State is known as the land of Golden Sunshine but on the day that these two teams play FAMU, we are looking for Dark Clouds to be on the horizon.

This game is built upon the years of rivalry and angst which extends from the playing field to the marching bands.

This could be a very important game for FAMU Football after spending a week in South Florida.
