He crawls into a lonely hay barn above a mountain village that American bombs struck only days before.

The girl who finds him is nineteen. Her name is Lena. She knows what happens to enemy flyers, and she knows what could happen to her family if she hides one.

Fallen is a sweeping, historically grounded story of courage, faith, family and first love in the last months of the war, told across two timelines by the only man left who can tell it.
