Evil has a way of getting loud, and when it does, the quiet question rises fast: does God actually care? God is not the author of evil, but human pride is a root that spreads into addictions, greed, exploitation, violence, and finally idolatry, trusting what we create to save us. We slow down on the line that keeps echoing through the Bible: “the righteous will live by his faith,” and we get practical about what it looks like to trust God instead of our circumstances.
We also pull out four comforts God gives to steady us in troubling times: a promised Redeemer, certain justice, a future where the earth is filled with God’s glory, and God’s absolute sovereignty, even when we cannot see the plan. You’ll hear a real moment when bad news triggered immediate fear, and how remembered Scripture replaced anxiety with peace.
