A good father gives a son more than provision. He gives him a place to stand.

Brad Maynard and Dr. Jody Griffin welcome Tom Franklin for a positive, honest conversation about the gifts of faithful fatherhood: presence, consistency, encouragement, faith, and love that lasts. Tom taught the father-figures session at this fall's Fight for Manhood cohort and previously led and taught a cohort at First Baptist Concord.

Tom knew his father loved him, even though his dad did not say "I love you" or show affection through hugs. We look beyond "we just knew" to explore what that meant to Tom and what he chose to do differently as a father himself.

Whether you had a loving father or carry a different story, this conversation offers a way forward: receive from God, learn from good men, and pass the blessing to the next generation.
