Some of us are tired, not because we’re disobedient, but because we are rushing obedience. We’re trying to hurry through a process God never told us to hurry through. And pressure will do that. Pressure will make you feel like everything is urgent. Stop sprinting through when God told you to walk.

Some of us hear the word “pressure,” and immediately we start acting like the whole world is on fire, but here’s what I want you to get today: Pressure is not always proof that something is wrong. Sometimes pressure is proof that something is being formed.

So far, we’ve talked about Abram, Joshua, and Peter. Today, we’re talking about Nehemiah. And I love Nehemiah because he had a burden from God, a building assignment, and critics who apparently had nothing better to do. You know those people. They have no hammer,

no assignment, no sweat, no sacrifice , just opinions. But Nehemiah kept building. In Nehemiah 4, the people were rebuilding the wall while facing opposition. The Bible says some worked with one hand and held a weapon with the other.
