3. "What Role Remains for Humans in AI-Driven Management?"
Imagine a company whose decision-making appears perfectly consistent from the outside—adhering to the same standards, judgments, and speed, and never wavering.
But what if that consistency is merely the result of the system continuously learning from the company's past decisions? What if there are people within the organization who realize that there is a difference between preserving tradition and history, and failing to value fresh perspectives?
AI makes decisions quickly and appears free of hesitation. From the outside, however, it can be impossible to distinguish whether this speed signifies correctness or simply the efficient repetition of the same mistakes.
This question may become increasingly critical as AI-driven management spreads. Of course, AI does not strip a company of its capacity for judgment. Instead, it serves as an opportunity to reflect on whether the humans within the organization possessed—in the first place—the mechanisms to question and rethink their systems and roles.
Furthermore, AI will likely provide efficient guidance and support by drawing on past performance and referencing human thought processes, know-how, and business models.
However, the risks of over-reliance—coupled with a potential lack of creativity and critical thinking—could ultimately lead to an increase in environments where humans are unable to add value.
We need to envision something—whether it be shared ethics, long-term metrics, or voices reaching us from outside the loop—that compels us to question the things the current system fails to see.
