There the loving kindness which David showed to Saul is a reflection of the mercy we received from our covenant LORD Jesus the anointed whom we pierced and made ourselves guilty before God. He loved us while we were still sinners. Abiding in this good news of forgiveness fills us with gratitude to forgive and confidence when we fail to do so.
