  • When Suffering Meets Blessing

Suffering can make you feel like God went silent, but Job 42 shows something different: God is still present, still holy, and still able to turn what hurts into something that heals. We ask the question many of us carry into the dark: God, can you turn my suffering into your blessing? Then we walk through Job’s story with honesty about pain, spiritual attack, and the confusing gap between what we feel and what God is doing.

We talk about worshiping God for who He is, not just for what He gives, and why shallow answers from “friends” can miss the heart of real faith. Along the way, we name three practical responses that unlock blessing in seasons of hardship: repentance that turns us back to Jesus, forgiveness that releases bitterness and even prays for the people who hurt us, and perseverance that refuses to quit when the struggle is real. We also connect Job’s restoration to a bigger Christian hope, eternal life, imperishable inheritance, and a future where suffering finally makes sense.

We close with space to pray honestly and a clear invitation to trust Jesus for salvation. If this encouraged you, subscribe, share it with someone walking through a hard season, and leave a review so more people can find hope in God’s Word. What part of the message do you need most right now?

  • God Holds You In The Struggle

Pain has a way of making God feel distant, even when we still believe. We open the Book of Job and sit with the question many people are carrying right now: “God, what are you saying to me?” Instead of rushing past the ache, we slow down and name the reality that suffering is real, emotions are real, and honest prayer is not disrespect, it is relationship.

We talk through Job’s losses, his brutal honesty in lament, and the warning sign buried in so much “helpful” advice. You’ll hear why common Christian clichés can do real harm, what Job’s friends get wrong, and what genuine comfort looks like when someone is in the pit. We also get practical about biblical counseling: who to listen to, what to watch out for online, and how to care for someone without lecturing them or skipping straight to explanations.

Then we turn to the turning point: God’s response. Job doesn’t get a neat why, he gets a bigger view of who God is, and that changes everything. We connect Job’s hope in a living Redeemer to Jesus, the One who suffers for our salvation and proves God is not far from human grief. If your soul feels unsteady, this message is an invitation to bring the full truth to God and let the Wonderful Counselor meet you there.

If this encouraged you, subscribe, share it with someone walking through a hard season, and leave a review so more people can find hope when the struggle is real.

  • Suffering and the God Who Sees
    2026/10/13

A dad wrestles with agnosticism, keeps showing up anyway, and ends up meeting Jesus so deeply that he’s baptized and later baptizes his own son. That story kicks the door open to a question most of us are carrying in silence: God, why did you do this to me? If you’ve ever stared at a diagnosis, a funeral, a broken relationship, a spiraling mind, or a season you didn’t choose and wondered where God is, you’ll feel seen here.

We open the Book of Job and treat it like what it is: Scripture written for real people with real suffering. We talk about Job as a blameless man in direction, not a perfect man in performance, and why that matters when you’re tempted to assume pain is always punishment. We also get into the uncomfortable reality of spiritual warfare, the devil as an accuser, and how suffering can become a test of worship, trust, and endurance.

Then we bring it home with hope that doesn’t minimize grief. We look at how Job responds, why Revelation 21 matters when life does not get a neat ending here, and how 2 Corinthians 12 reframes weakness through God’s sufficient grace. We finish with five practical anchors for Christian suffering: worship, resist, study, become, and preach the gospel to yourself. If this helped you, subscribe, share it with a friend who’s hurting, and leave a review so more people can find hope when the struggle is real.

  • Counter Cultural Generosity

Money is one of the fastest ways to reveal what we trust, what we fear, and what we truly worship. So we end our Counterculture series with a topic that makes a lot of people tense: generosity. We are not trying to twist arms or hype a offering. We want to let the Word of God set the tone and show why giving is not what God needs from us, but what God wants for us.

We ask five practical questions Christians keep coming back to: When did God’s generosity toward us begin? How is it consistent? What is tithing really about? Where is God expanding our lives? Why is His generosity so extravagant? Along the way we connect the dots from Genesis and Romans to Luke and Malachi, showing that God’s giving starts with creation, becomes personal in daily mercy and provision, and reaches its peak at the cross where God “did not spare his own Son.” Biblical generosity flows from that kind of love.

We also get concrete: consistent giving requires intentionality, money is a tool but a terrible master, and simple frameworks like the 10-10-80 principle can help Christians practice stewardship with clarity. The goal is not getting richer; it is seeing more people saved, more disciples made, and more joy unlocked as we trust God with what He already gave us.

If you’re wondering what your next step is, this message is for you, whether you’re a beginning giver or someone ready to give in an expanding or even extravagant way. Listen, share with a friend, and then subscribe, leave a review, and tell us what generosity step you’re praying about next.

  • Biblical Citizenship In A Negative World
    2026/09/28

Culture keeps telling us that citizenship is only about passports, parties, and power. Scripture tells a bigger story. If you’ve felt the squeeze of living as a Christian in a “negative world,” we walk through what biblical citizenship actually looks like when social pressure rises and the lines between politics and theology get blurry.

We start with Philippians 3:20 and the core truth that reorders everything: our citizenship is in heaven right now, not later. That means Jesus isn’t just a belief we hold, he is the King we belong to. We also talk honestly about a simple heart-check: do we actually long to see Jesus, or are we clinging so tightly to this life that we keep asking him to wait?

Then we get practical about our secondary citizenship on earth. Jeremiah 29 gives a third way between assimilation and isolation: build, plant, raise families, seek the welfare of the city, and pray for peace. From there, we lay out four clear applications for countercultural Christian living: live as an ambassador with a Jesus-centered message, take sin seriously because it wages war against your soul, pray for leaders so we can live quiet and godly lives, and build a church culture shaped by the gospel instead of fear.

If this helped you, subscribe for more, share it with a friend who feels overwhelmed by the moment, and leave a review so more people can find the message. What part of biblical citizenship do you find hardest to live out right now?

The Holy Spirit isn't just a mysterious force or an afterthought in Christian theology—He's been actively working since before creation, empowering believers throughout history, and will continue His work into eternity. This powerful message traces the complete story of the Holy Spirit from Genesis to Revelation, revealing how understanding this divine narrative transforms our own life stories.

When we feel formless, empty, or surrounded by darkness, the Holy Spirit—who hovered over the waters at creation—wants to shape us, fill us, and illuminate our path. Throughout the Old Testament, we see glimpses of the Spirit's work as He empowered specific individuals for specific tasks, pointing toward a future where He would indwell every believer.

Jesus Himself modeled complete dependence on the Holy Spirit. Despite being fully God, Christ chose to live His ministry through the Spirit's power—casting out demons, performing miracles, and ultimately offering Himself as a sacrifice "through the eternal Spirit." This profound example challenges us to stop living by our limited human spirit and instead surrender to the unlimited Holy Spirit.

The New Testament reveals how God has "given the power to the people" through His Spirit, commissioning ordinary believers to make disciples and continue Jesus' mission. This democratization of spiritual power means you don't need special credentials or training to be used by God—you simply need to be filled with His Spirit.

Most profoundly, the Spirit's story culminates in eternity, where believers will experience His unhindered presence like a crystal-clear river flowing from God's throne. In heaven, we'll finally be fully fruitful, completely healed, and perfectly worshipful because we'll be perfectly filled with the Spirit.

Ready to experience greater things? The Holy Spirit is calling you to align your story with God's story, emptying yourself so you can be filled with Him. Your human spirit isn't enough—you were created for God's Holy Spirit to empower you for a life beyond anything you could accomplish on your own.

  • The Baptism of the Holy Spirit | John 14:12 · Galatians 5:16 · Romans 8:14 · Ephesians 5:18 · 1 Corinthians 12:13

What if the greatest power in the universe wasn't just available to you, but actually lived within you? This transformative message kicks off our "Greater Things" series with a profound exploration of the Holy Spirit—not as some mysterious force or impersonal power, but as the fully divine person of God who indwells every believer.

Pastor Chip challenges the common misconception of treating the Holy Spirit as the "third wheel" of the Trinity, revealing instead how God's Spirit empowers supernatural living that goes beyond what we could accomplish on our own. Through a compelling breakdown of four ways to experience the Spirit more deeply, he unpacks a spiritual progression that starts with baptism by the Spirit at salvation and culminates in walking by the Spirit daily.

The teaching introduces key Greek terms that illuminate what it means to be Spirit-filled: "peripeteo" (walking throughout life making spiritual progress), "ago" (being guided and directed), and "plerao" (continually being filled to overflow). Using relatable illustrations—from a toddler needing guidance on wilderness hikes to a backyard splash pad that both fills and overflows—he demonstrates why "God inside you is better than God beside you."

Most powerfully, this message reframes our understanding of spiritual living. Instead of asking how much of the Spirit we have, perhaps we should ask how much of us the Spirit has. The Holy Spirit functions as our divine GPS, guiding us through life's complexities when no one else has ever lived our unique journey before. Through worship, prayer, community, and Scripture engagement, we position ourselves for continual filling that not only transforms us but overflows to impact others.

Ready to experience the "greater things" Jesus promised? Discover how the baptism, filling, leading, and walking of the Spirit can revolutionize your life and empower you for kingdom impact beyond what you've imagined possible.
