We’re officially halfway through the 2026 Formula 1 season, so it’s time to look back at our pre-season predictions, rate every team, and work out who has actually nailed the new regulations.

And yes… David has to answer for predicting Williams and Aston Martin as championship contenders.

This episode includes:

• Revisiting our pre-season predictions — including some absolute shockers and a few surprisingly good calls

• Our new 3-point Fools rating system as we score every team’s season so far

• Mercedes setting the benchmark, Kimi Antonelli’s incredible first half, and George Russell’s fight to keep up

• Ferrari, McLaren and Red Bull — who’s improving, who’s slipping, and who needs to do better

• Alpine, Racing Bulls and Audi massively exceeding expectations while Williams and Aston Martin disappoint

• Our predictions for the second half — including Kimi vs Lewis for the title and an Audi podium shout

🏁

Mercedes are still the team to beat, but the second half could give us a proper championship fight.

And after some of our pre-season predictions… we probably shouldn’t be allowed near a betting app.
