  • FIM 85: F*ck It Friday: The Turkey is Too Turkey-y
    2025/01/10

Happy F*ck It Friday, mamas! It's that time of the month, (no, not THAT time of the month 🎈), so grab your favorite beverage, barricade yourself in your favorite hiding spot from your kids, and get ready to have some fun!

Amanda Haro & Samantha Trujillo are back (minus Amanda de La Madriz, who was in Italy, the lucky b*tch) to say f*ck it to the annoying parts of motherhood.

Like the Christmas day carnage that happens to our living rooms. And all the leftover food that goes to waste. And when the turkey gets too turkey-y. And putting expectations on ourselves to create perfect Christmas magic when mama is too tired.

  • FIM 82: Merry F*ck It Christmas: Mindful Holiday Drinking with Anna Charles
    2024/12/16

'Mom' has become synonymous with 'wine' in pop culture now. We see it on memes: "Hiding from my kids in the bathtub with a bottle of wine". We see it in alcohol commercials: "Because mommy-ing is stressful". We hear it in song lyrics: "All the wine moms are still holding out, but fuck 'em, it's over".

Yes it's funny...sometimes. But it can also become a slippery slope to women developing drinking habits unconsciously. When we're getting the message from literally everywhere that we should deal with our mom stress at the bottom of a bottle of wine, we find ourselves doing that. Every night.

TO BE CLEAR: THIS EPISODE IS NOT ABOUT SHAMING.

Consuming alcohol is not in and of itself a problem. This episode is simply about uncovering the reasons behind your drinking habits & asking yourself the question, 'Do I like this?' with no shame or judgement, but out of immense LOVE for yourself.

And if you find the answer to that question is, 'no', then guest Anna Charles has some helpful tips on how you can feel in control of your drinking this holiday season. There are ways to reduce your stress as a mom at Christmas without drinking them away.

  • FIM 79: Merry F*ck It Christmas: Prioritizing Your Energy Over Obligations with Ryann Watkin
    2024/11/14

Moms–do you get stressed by all the family obligations around the holidays but also feel bad telling your mom or mother-in-law ‘no’? This podcast episode is for YOU!

This is part 2 of a special 8 part holiday series, devoted to helping moms ditch stressful obligations so that they can focus on the parts of the holidays that mean the most to them. Christmas CAN be the most wonderful time of the year for moms and the kids.

This week host Amanda Haro is joined by Ryann Watkin, the host of the Raising Wild Hearts podcast. They talk about:

    • Doing a tradition inventory at the beginning of each holiday season, asking yourself, “Am I doing this for me or for someone else?” and “Does this bring me joy?”

    • Ditching everything that does not bring you joy or that feels too much for you (and letting it be ok that this is different every year)

    • Making new family traditions with your partner

    • Setting boundaries with family members out of love for yourself

    • Letting go of the compare and despair game. Amanda does Christmas in a different way than Ryann, and BOTH are correct.
