  • Exploring Loss How to Let Sadness Move Through You
    2026/02/08

In this episode of Explore Beyond, Courtney talks about loss and what it really looks like to experience sadness honestly instead of pushing it away.

After receiving a text about a friend’s aging dog, Courtney reflects on how easily we try to hero our way through grief, cover sadness with gratitude, and avoid feeling what is actually present in our bodies.

Through the lens of conscious leadership and personal experience, she shares how learning to sit with sadness, allow emotions to move, and create space for feelings has changed the way she navigates loss in her own life.

In this episode, you will hear about:

How we often avoid feeling sadness by distracting ourselves
Why covering emotions with gratitude can keep us from processing loss
What it looks like to let emotions flow through the body instead of holding them in
How to create safe space to feel difficult feelings
Why allowing sadness to be present actually helps it pass more gently

This episode is a gentle invitation to stop fixing your feelings and start allowing them to move.

If you are navigating loss, grief, sadness, or emotional heaviness, this conversation offers a grounded, compassionate way to be with what is here.

  • The Belize Jungle: A Story of Leadership, Chaos, and Rain-Soaked Lessons
    2026/01/24

In this episode of Explore Beyond, I’m doing something a little different I’m sharing one of my wildest travel stories from my years leading international expeditions.

This is the story of a jungle trek in Belize that didn’t go according to plan.

From the wrong fuel causing a literal fireball, to flooded tents, army ants, overgrown trails, night navigation through a boulder field, exhausted students, tears, rainstorms, and an unexpected jungle “shower” this experience asked everything of me as a leader.

It’s a reminder that leadership isn’t about control or perfection.
    It’s about presence.
    Adaptability.
    Keeping calm when others can’t.
And finding creativity and humor when things fall apart.

This episode is equal parts adventure story, leadership lesson, and reminder that sometimes the hardest moments become the ones we remember most and learn from the deepest.

Pull up a seat and come with me into the jungle.

  • Coming Home to the Present Moment
    2026/01/24

In this episode of Explore Beyond, I’m inviting you into the practice of presencing what it means to fully arrive in the moment you’re already in.

So often, we move through our days on autopilot, caught in routines, stories about the past, or worries about the future. Today, I share how consciously slowing down and tuning into the present moment has shifted the way I experience travel, everyday life, and even moments I don’t initially want to be in.

    In this episode, we explore:

    • Why presence can transform even mundane or frustrating moments
    • How travel naturally invites curiosity and awareness
    • A simple, embodied practice for presencing through the senses
    • Using breath, touch, sound, and sensation to drop out of the thinking mind
    • How presence helps soften fear and bring us back to what’s actually here

This is a gentle reminder that there’s nothing wrong with the present moment and that when we allow ourselves to fully be here, we often discover beauty, ease, and clarity we didn’t expect.

Take a few minutes. Slow down. And see what becomes available when you truly arrive.

  • Befriending the Uncomfortable
    2026/01/21

In this episode of Explore Beyond, I’m talking about something that’s been showing up a lot in my life lately discomfort.

As we move into a new year, change is inevitable. New goals, evolving businesses, unfamiliar choices, unexpected transitions all of it can bring discomfort to the surface. And for a long time, my instinct was to run from it as fast as I could.

Today, I’m sharing how that relationship has shifted.

We explore what it looks like to:

    • Notice discomfort instead of pushing it away
    • Tune into where it lives in the body
    • Understand the energy behind it
    • Stay present without forcing a quick fix
    • Let discomfort soften, rather than control our choices

Drawing from conscious leadership practices, personal travel experiences, and real moments from my own life, this episode is an invitation to slow down, listen inward, and gently be with what’s here.

If you’re navigating change, growth, fear, or something new that feels uncomfortable this conversation is for you.

No pressure to do it perfectly.
    Just an invitation to stay.
