Suzanne was widowed five years ago when her high school sweetheart, Kendall Sawyer, died from an extremely rare form of leukemia. Things did not get easier for their family when shortly afterward her child was diagnosed with multiple life-threatening medical conditions, there were seemingly insurmountable financial setbacks, Suzanne lost her mother to cancer, their home flooded a ridiculous number of times, and on and on. In the midst of it all, however, Suzanne has been passionate about sharing her story and her testimony that God is aware of each one of us and supports us through our most difficult experiences. She is a firm believer that it is possible to feel joy and peace even in the midst of tragedy and trials.
