  • India - Rishikesh - Yoga Teacher Training Pt.3
    2026/04/12

We went in as travelers and came out as human origami. 24 days later, the "yoga prison" has finally set us free.

Can you believe we actually did it? We’ve been locked away in a strict, dawn-to-dusk schedule for nearly a month, and honestly, there were moments when we forgot what a lie-in even felt like. In this episode, we’re breaking down the full 24-day saga—the good, the painful, and the moments of absolute, eye-watering bliss.

It wasn't all just "om" and incense; it was a total feat of endurance. We’re talking about the physical struggle of finding muscles we didn’t know existed and the mental game of staying sane when your entire day is timed to the second. But here’s the kicker: we’ve emerged as much better versions of ourselves. Maybe even the best versions we’ve ever been.

We’re sharing why we’d actually recommend this madness to anyone—and why, in a moment of spiritual high (or maybe just exhaustion), we’ve decided we’d even do it all over again. We’re officially "graduated," slightly more flexible, and ready to take our new, zen-ish energy back out into the wild.

Trusting Divina to lead the way—even if she occasionally leads us straight into 24 days of being folded into a pretzel at 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM

  • India - Rishikesh - Yoga Teacher Training Pt.2
    2026/04/05

We traded the yoga ashram for the side of a mountain, and let's just say the gods have a very interesting sense of direction.

Two weeks into our Yoga Teacher Training, and we’ve officially reached that "breaking point" where the breaking actually starts to feel like a breakthrough. But before we could get too comfortable in our new routine, we made an exceptional decision to follow the call of the mountains.

We wound our way deep into the Himalayas to witness the Maha Shivaratri festival, and it was nothing short of a sensory takeover. We found ourselves in tiny, tucked-away local villages and ancient Hindu temples, surrounded by the thick scent of incense and the hypnotic vibration of chanting and prayers. It felt less like a tourist trip and more like a pilgrimage into the soul of India.

However, getting there was an act of pure endurance. The winding Himalayan roads are a literal rollercoaster ride—one that tests your stomach just as much as your spirit. And just when we thought the journey had finally come to an end, we realized the real adventure was only just beginning. (We’re keeping the rest of that story for the episode, but let's just say the mountains have a way of humbling you.)

To wrap up, we’re giving a raw update on the YTT experience. Yes, the schedule is brutal. Yes, our bodies are screaming. But despite the physical and mental toll, we have never felt better in our lives. We are leaning into the discomfort and finding a version of ourselves we didn't know existed.

Trusting Divina to lead the way—even if she occasionally leads us straight into a Himalayan rollercoaster on a prayer and a dream.

  • India - Rishikesh - Yoga Teacher Training Pt.1
    2026/03/29

We spent years dreaming of an Indian ashram, but we didn’t realize the gates locked from the inside.

The spiritual "high" of arriving in Rishikesh, the yoga capital of the world, was met almost immediately by a jarring reality: the total surrender of our freedom. After months of nomadic independence, being nailed down to a gruelling, dawn-to-dusk schedule felt less like a sanctuary and more like a beautifully decorated prison.

The romanticised vision of yoga teacher training quickly evaporated as we were introduced to traditional Indian yogic cleansing techniques—rituals that challenged our dignity just as much as our physical limits. We found ourselves pushed to the edge of our will, grappling with the mental and physical toll of a discipline that demands everything you have.

It turns out that when you ask Divina for growth, she doesn't always hand you a sunset; sometimes she hands you a strict timetable and a test of will. We’re navigating the painful gap between the fantasy we carried for years and the reality we’re now living, discovering that the most exceptional decisions are often the ones that hurt the most to make.

Trusting Divina to lead the way—even if she occasionally leads us straight into a 5:00 AM yogic nasal cleanse.

  • India - Delhi - Our First Taste of India
    2026/03/22

If Southeast Asia was the rehearsal, Delhi is the opening night where the stage is on fire and everyone is invited.

After years of "one day," the dream finally collided with the reality of the Indian soil beneath our feet. We thought we knew chaos after months in Southeast Asia, but landing in Delhi felt like moving from a rehearsal straight onto the main stage.

The air is a physical presence here—thick, heavy, and inescapable—yet beneath the haze is a current of energy so powerful it’s impossible to ignore. It is a city that doesn't just surround you; it consumes you. The noise is a symphony of a million different lives, the colors are more vivid than any filter, and the pace is relentless.

It is overwhelming, yes, but it is also undeniably electric. There is a sacred madness to this place that exists nowhere else on Earth. Following the path laid out by Divina has led us through jungle silences and coastal breezes, but nothing could have fully prepared us for the beautiful, jarring, and deeply soulful intensity of India. We’ve finally arrived in the heart of the storm, and it’s exactly where we were always meant to be.

The path isn't always paved—sometimes it leads straight into the canopy, and sometimes it leads you right into the heart of the city. Follow the journey on Instagram @ExceptionalDecisions.

    2026/03/15

From jungle silence to ten million motorbikes. We’ve landed in Vietnam.

After listening to the signs and making the call to leave the island early, we’ve touched down in our next major destination: Ho Chi Minh City. Talk about a sensory explosion! We’ve officially traded the sound of geckos for the constant hum of the world’s most chaotic traffic.

In this episode, we talk about the surreal feeling of navigating a "mega-city" again. It is going to take some time to get used to the he towering skyscrapers!

We also reflect on the transition—how it feels to move from a life where we walked barefoot in the dirt to a city where you have to take your life into your hands just to cross the street. Divina has guided us into this neon-lit chaos, and we’re already finding the magic hidden in the back alleys and tea houses of Saigon.

    2026/03/08

This is a massive pivot! It perfectly captures the essence of your journey—the ability to listen to the universe and change course, even when it means leaving a "dream" setup early.

    Podcast Episode Description

Podcast Name: [Insert your Podcast Name here] Episode Title: The Signs We Couldn't Ignore: Why We’re Leaving the Jungle

When the universe starts shouting, you have to listen.

We have some massive news this week: we’re packing up our treehouse and leaving the island two months earlier than planned. While we’ve loved the raw beauty of our Cambodian jungle home, Divina has been sending us sign after sign that this chapter is closing.

We’ve always said that when resistance appears, you face it—but when the same message repeats itself again and again, you have to honor it. In this episode, we pull back the curtain on the "why" behind this choice. We discuss the moment we realized that staying was no longer the path and why leaving now is actually the most exceptional decision we could make.

We are trading the tranquility of the trees for the thrill of the unknown once again. So, where are we heading next? It’s a destination we’ve been planning for what feels like a lifetime. The backpacks are back on, the compass is in Divina’s hands, and we are ready for what's coming.

  • Cambodia - Koh Ta Kiev Pt. 4 - When Friends Become Family
    2026/03/01

We found the most beautiful place on the island—we’re just glad we didn’t ask what lived in the water until we left.

The jungle is raising the stakes this week. We’re diving into the more "electrifying" dangers of our new home—from dodgy wiring that keeps us on our toes to the itchy reality of spider bites. It turns out, living in a treehouse means the wildlife doesn't just visit; it moves in and leaves a mark.

We also recount our journey deep into the heart of the island to find the swamp. It is easily the most hauntingly beautiful place we’ve seen so far, but there’s a catch: we were blissfully unaware of the predators lurking in those waters until we got safely back home. Sometimes, ignorance really is travel bliss.

But the highlight of the week was a collision of worlds. Two friends from our "past life" joined us to work on the island for a month. Seeing our old world through the lens of our new, rugged reality was a trip in itself. It reminded us that even when you are on the other side of the planet, sharing memories and laughing about things back home makes the distance feel like nothing at all.

  • Cambodia - Koh Ta Kiev Diaries Pt. 3 - Visiting Civilisation
    2026/02/22

We left the silence of the trees and realized we might smell a bit... different.

Living in the jungle isn't all sunset yoga and bird calls. This week, we’re getting into the gritty—and sometimes painful—dangers of island life. From the inevitable accidents that happen when you live life barefoot to the constant, losing battle of trying to keep a wound dry in a tropical humidity trap, we’re sharing the physical toll of our new home.

But the real shock came when we finally stepped off the island and back into Phnom Penh.

Going from total jungle silence to the roar of the city felt like a sensory assault. We talk about the bizarre experience of "relearning" how to be a human in civilization and the hilarious realisation that when you live in the wild, you become a little nose-blind to your own situation. It turns out, what’s "normal" in a hippy retreat feels very different when you’re standing in a polished hotel lobby.

Join us as we navigate the jarring transition from nature back to the "real world" and question which one is actually crazier.
