概要
Peripheral Intelligence — PI-01: Every Recognition Is a Suppression The first expansion episode of the doctrine. In 1999, roughly half the people counting basketball passes in the Simons & Chabris experiment missed a gorilla-suited figure standing in the middle of the scene for about nine seconds — not because they weren't paying attention, but because they were. This episode takes that demonstration seriously as engineering: every act of recognition is simultaneously an act of suppression, the blindness is the design rather than a flaw in it, and a design cannot be patched from inside itself — it must be answered with a second design. With the honest counterargument (suppression is also what makes expertise fast) and three small practices to start with.
