Dustin grew up in rural Idaho surrounded by poverty, violence, addiction, and instability. He began drinking at 14 and spent years using alcohol and drugs to numb the pain he carried from childhood.

His journey eventually led him into the U.S. Coast Guard, where he worked drug interdiction, search and rescue, and operations in Miami and the Caribbean. But even as Dustin built a career and eventually became a successful entrepreneur, the internal battles from his past continued to follow him.

In this episode, Dustin tells the story of a high-speed motorcycle chase in Boise, Idaho, where he reached speeds around 160 mph before crashing, breaking his back and ribs. He also opens up about multiple DUIs, addiction, depression, suicidal thoughts, marriage struggles, childhood trauma, and the spiritual battle he believes was taking place throughout his life.

One of the most powerful moments in Dustin’s Christian testimony comes when his wife prayed over him while he was sleeping. She later told him she visually saw demons leaving his body. Dustin says he woke up the next morning feeling different than he had felt since childhood.
