Let’s start the show!…Khmm! This is not the Graham Norton Show… so let’s try again, shall we…?
“Ladies and Gents, this is the moment you’ve waited for.”…Hmmmm… Love it… close but not it… as it is already taken…
Welcome to your reclaimed spotlight, to your centre stage. [Beat]Hi, Hello & Welcome to the In-Bri-tween!(That is more like it!)
Okay… Now onto the less dramatic things… :)
This episode is humongous, packed with captivating stuff, I think, so ENJOY! Today’s performance according to the programme:
—Firstly: Intro about Septermber-October-November being “special” months, and me spicing it up with a little more astrology-talk and how the Universe always conspires in helping us align with anything and everyone we are meant to, need and/or desire. (Intro ends at 34:46)
—Secondly: After a 10-20 minute interval, you might need… I am going to introduce The Power of Storytelling and expand on On and Off Stage experiences in a way you might not have heard before — How are they connected? How they are very similar and yet completely different? What kind of impact they can have on us? And how deeply can they provide for us IF we let it? (1st Objective ends at 1:08:23)—& Thirdly: I share my story about acting & my anger and how my acting school years did not prepare me for a career as an actress but for something much, much deeper. Then adding to this list a life-changing TED Talk video of mine and my two most impactful insights about Auditions that made rejection for me a lot less painful.
And last but not least, I end this episode with a more fact-based part about TRANSIENT HYPOFRONTALITY (Flow/Creative Flow state), but I feel you are going to like this one!! And really ending it with an overly enthusiastic and cognitively exhausted farewell (I feel I really entered a liminal-flow-y, even delusional state as I was trying to wrap the episode up with actual words… :) )
Thank you for listening from all over the World through the World Wide Web within these past 6 months! You are all incredible! And it has been an incredible ride so far.Now do me and you a favour and pick up a pen or a paintbrush and get lost in some poetry, music or canvas or anything that can place you into that flow state and help you learn how to PLAY (enjoy something for the sake of enjoyment and not because you HAVE TO BE good at it).
I say farewell now to thee…
With Love & Health,
Bri
P.S. Here are the promised TED Talks I mention within the 1st objective in connection with The Power of Storytelling (plus I added Brené Brown’s video as well):
—The magical science of storytelling | David JP Phillips | TEDxStockholm - The chemicals we can unlock with storytelling (which can be healing for our system and human beingness).
—The power of storytelling | Andrea Gibbs | TEDxPerth - Storytelling and mental health, and giving people their voices.
—Hira Siddiqui: The Power of Storytelling - storytelling in connection with humanness and diversity.
—Smaran Nair: The Special Power of Storytelling - storytelling within education and for young adults.
—The Power of Vulnerability | Brené Brown | TED.
