When do you know it is time for coaching—and how can you show up well for your coach and team?
You do not need to be fast, experienced, or training for an Ironman to benefit from coaching. Sometimes you are willing to do the work, but you do not want to carry the mental load of deciding what the training should be or how to change it when life does not follow the plan.
In Episode 6 of Coach Erin Says, Coach Erin shares:
- Signs personalized coaching may be right for you
- The difference between a training plan and actual coaching
- When a self-guided plan may be enough
- What a good coach should provide
- How to communicate honestly with your coach
- How to show up as a supportive teammate
- Questions to ask before hiring a coach
A training plan tells you what to do when everything goes right. A coach helps you decide what to do when it does not.
You are not hiring a coach because you are incapable of doing hard things. You are hiring a coach so you do not have to figure out every hard thing alone.
