What if some of the thoughts shaping your life aren’t actually true?

We all have patterns of thinking—beliefs formed through our upbringing, experiences, wounds, fears, culture, and even things we’ve repeated to ourselves for years. And sometimes we’ve believed them for so long that we don’t even question them anymore.

In this episode of From Brokenness to Freedom, we’re getting radically honest about the battlefield of the mind and asking a hard question:

“What has been shaping the way I think—and does it actually align with the truth of God?”

We talk about renewing your mind, neuroplasticity, recognizing old thought patterns, pride, spiritual strongholds, discipline, and what Scripture actually means when it tells us to take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ. Because renewing your mind isn’t simply positive thinking.

It isn’t manifesting a better life. And it isn’t about becoming a “better version of yourself.” It’s about recognizing the lie, bringing it under the authority of Jesus, replacing it with His truth, and allowing the Holy Spirit to transform the way you think so that your life begins to look more like Christ.

And we’re sharing this while we’re still walking through it ourselves.

We haven’t mastered this. We’re learning how to recognize our own patterns, confront uncomfortable places, surrender what the Holy Spirit reveals, and allow Him to keep refining us.

Maybe freedom begins with getting radically honest enough to ask:

“Where did this belief come from? Is it true? And what does God say about it?”

“...we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” — 2 Corinthians 10:5
