Harlan Silverman is a Portland, Oregon based composer, multi instrumentalist, and producer. As a solo artist, Harlan has a catalog of six instrumental albums that have been wildly featured on popular playlists for meditation and wellness and on the Calm and Peloton platforms. Inspired by his yin yoga practice and "the spacious harmonies living in nature," Harlan's original compositions showcase his subtle depth as an instrumentalist who moves effortlessly between cello, electric guitar, the native flute, piano, and Minimoog synthesizer.I chatted with Harlan about his musical beginnings, his entry point into producing music and songwriting, how discovering meditation played a significant role in his personal and professional life as a musician, creating music with healing purposes, making records and more!---------------------------------------------------Thank you to DistroKid for sponsoring this episode of the podcast.
