You can know the right thing and still struggle to do it.

You can listen, read, study, take notes, collect wisdom — and still find yourself reacting the same way when pressure arrives.

Hebrews 5:11–14 confronts that gap.

The writer isn't questioning how much these believers have heard. He's questioning what all that hearing has produced. By this stage, their knowledge should have developed into something more: trained faculties, discernment, maturity, and the ability to help someone else grow.

That's where practice enters the picture.

Using the story of Dr Catherine Hamlin as a real-world mirror, this episode looks at what happens when knowledge is applied, tested, refined and repeated until it becomes genuine capability.

And there's an uncomfortable question at the heart of it:

What has what you know actually trained you to do?

Because sometimes we don't need another book, another sermon, another course or another revelation.

We need to practise the truth we already have.

This is a Tethered Thought about spiritual maturity, deliberate practice, discernment, learning, personal growth and the difference between being informed and becoming capable.

Practice turns knowledge into capacity.

Tethered Thoughts with Bosede Santos — where Scripture meets success, bringing biblical wisdom into the way we think, work, lead, build, grow and live.
