Just in time for Halloween, this spooky season episode explores the nature of darkness in RPGs.
The history of the mechanics of darkness is discussed. How it has evolved alongside our relationship with darkness in the real world. We also take a look at how darkness actually affects people. And how that can be employed in RPGs. Dungeons and Dragons, Rolemaster, Call of Cthulhu Chill, Shadowdark and other popular systems are highlighted.
John draws on his own GMing and Game writing experience to illustrate this.
