Episode 27 – The Ghost Plane of Bleaklow

✈️👻 A ghostly aircraft, a tragic wartime crash, and a mystery that refuses to fade…

High on the windswept moors of the Peak District lies Bleaklow, a remote and unforgiving landscape with a haunting history.

In November 1948, an American B-29 Superfortress bomber, Over Exposed, crashed into the hillside, tragically claiming the lives of all 13 men on board. The wreckage remains scattered across the moor to this day, serving as a poignant reminder of those who lost their lives.

But could something else still linger among the wreckage?

In this week's episode of This Is A Ghost Story, Kathryn and Alison explore the eerie legend of the Ghost Plane of Bleaklow, where reports of unexplained aircraft sounds, strange sightings and unsettling experiences have added a supernatural dimension to an already tragic location.

We also share an eyewitness account from Daniel James, whose experience on Bleaklow raises some intriguing questions about what might still haunt these lonely hills.

Was it simply the imagination playing tricks in an atmospheric location, or could the echoes of the past still be heard across the moors?

Join Kathryn and Alison for the story, before Producer Andrew delves deeper into the history, evidence and possible explanations behind this fascinating mystery.
