On this episode I welcome John Hajicek to the podcast as we have a conversation about his efforts to prevent a data center from being built on a historic site in Liberty, Missouri, where the Book of Mormon witnesses were likely buried. We start our conversation first by discussing his background inMormon history. John then tells of his experience in identifying the Mark Hoffman forgeries in 1981 by recognizing inconsistencies in language, style, and content compared to authentic Joseph Smith documents from the period. Fromthere John explains that a 30-acre site in Liberty Missouri containing the remains of Christian Whitmer and Peter Whitmer Jr., is under threat of being bulldozed to make way for a new AI Data Center. We talk about how historians havenot been speaking up and some challenges with the historian community. From there our conversation turns to how FoxNews and Salt Lake Tribune were instructed to drop their coverage of the story. We wrap up our conversation by talking about you can do to help preserve this important Mormon history site.
