Episode 17 – Summer’s Over… Now We Can Talk About It | Summer 2026 Recap

Summer 2026 at Lake of the Ozarks is officially in the books… and there’s a LOT to unpack.

For Episode 17, there’s no guest—just Landree Hills, Mike Swift, Hanna Robinson and Nikki Sorenson sitting down to recap one hell of a summer at the Lake.

Summer doesn’t end at the Lake of the Ozarks, it just downshifts without warning. We sit down to record our Summer Recap Video 2026 energy and immediately prove the point by pouring espresso martinis and rewinding the blur: new jobs, packed weekends, and the kind of nights that turn into stories before you even wake up. We talk about Landry’s first day as a barista and what it’s like opening The Daily Dose coffee shop in Tipton, Missouri, because lake life runs on caffeine just as much as it runs on boat days.

Then we get into the main event: Labor Day weekend, Shootout week, and why the crowds somehow keep getting bigger. We break down Lake House 13 chaos, street party logistics that make no sense, watch party strategy, and the random run-ins that define the season, including the Redneck Science crew and the hurricane shot trend that had everyone slapping everyone. We also hit the fun debates: concerts we loved, the song of the summer, and the drink of the summer that took over coolers.

Midway through, the conversation takes a sharp turn into tech and real life. We unpack AI hype, fake social media videos, the rise of AI flyers, and the bigger question of how to use tools like ChatGPT without letting them replace your brain. We end by looking ahead to Season 2 plans, mobile recordings, dream guests, merch drops, and the lake rules you learn the hard way, like why you don’t bring bananas on a boat. f you’re riding with us, subscribe, share this with your lake crew, and leave a review so we can keep leveling up. What moment from this summer still lives rent-free in your head?
