Just Imagine Podcast – Episode 141: Kev Orkian

In Episode 141 of the Just Imagine Podcast, host Martin Ballard sits down with the multi-talented Kev Orkian, actor, comedian, concert pianist and pantomime favourite, who is returning to the stage as Smee in Imagine Theatre’s Peter Pan at the Wycombe Swan this Christmas.

Kev shares the incredible story of his journey from growing up in North London to landing a leading role in Fame the Musical after a rather unconventional audition, building a successful stand-up comedy career and appearing on Britain’s Got Talent. He also reflects on more than 30 pantomimes, performing around the world, and the magical moment that made a lasting impression on Nicole Kidman!

Along the way, Kev discusses his love of pantomime, his classical piano skills, his Armenian heritage and his ever-growing entertainment empire, including Jongleurs, British Pantomimes and his work training the next generation of performers.

Full of hilarious anecdotes, behind-the-scenes stories and heartfelt reflections on why pantomime remains such a special tradition for audiences of all ages, this is a fascinating conversation with a performer whose mission is simple: to make people smile.
