For Christians, few questions are more important than this one: Can the Bible really be trusted?

Some say the Bible is one of the most historically reliable ancient texts ever preserved. Others dismiss it as a collection of myths, legends, contradictions, and antiquated stories that have little relevance in the modern world.

So which is it?

In this episode, regular contributor Sabrina McDonald joins us as we put Scripture under serious scrutiny. We examine some of the difficult questions surrounding the Bible and ask whether it can withstand the challenges of skeptics, critics, history, archaeology, and the passage of time.

After all, the Bible makes an extraordinary claim—it claims to be the Word of God. If that claim is true, Christians shouldn’t be afraid to examine it. Truth should be able to withstand difficult questions.

As Christians, we build our faith and our understanding of God upon the Bible. Its teachings influence how we live, how we raise our families, how we understand right and wrong, how we view our future, and, most importantly, what we believe about eternity.

That makes the question much bigger than simply whether the Bible is an interesting ancient book.

Can we trust what it says?

Can we trust that what we have today accurately represents what was originally written?

Can we trust its historical claims?

Can we trust it as the foundation upon which we build our lives and our faith?
