Welcome to the Love Sweetie Podcast! In this episode, we review three pieces of correspondence that Sweetie wrote in October and November 1952. Sweetie's parents continue their visit with her daughter and her family in Doylestown, and in this episode, we learn that they visited Valley Forge National Park. However, by the end of the episode Sweetie's parents leave to return home to Iowa, leaving Sweetie feeling lonesome right before the holidays of 1952.

We also discuss the presidential election of 1952 in which Eisenhower was elected president, winning against Adlai Stevenson.

This video also features footage from visiting the Doylestown Cemetery, where Miss Darst and other Darst family members who lived in Doylestown are buried. The Doylestown Cemetery has many historical graves, and more can be learned on this subject at https://doylestowncemetery.com.

The Love Sweetie Podcast is a unique historical project that features real letters from Kathryn Francis Demaree Graham a.k.a. "Sweetie" that were written during her lifetime. These authentic letters are narrated and commented on by the hosts of the show (who give context on what is being discussed).

It should also be noted that the content and vernacular in the letters, as disclaimed at the beginning of every episode, are part of the real historic text from 1952, and do not reflect the views of anyone associated with the Podcast, including the creator and the hosts.
