Pilar is the Editorial Director of Oprah Daily, where she oversees content, strategy and community across the brand’s platforms, including the new Oprah Insider Community. Her beats include travel, wellness, women's health, mental health, longevity and menopause.
A media industry leader, editor, writer, author, speaker and “brand whisperer,” Pilar has built and transformed some of America’s most iconic—and influential—lifestyle brands throughout her prolific career. Previously, Pilar served as Editor-in-Chief of Condé Nast Traveler and held the same position at Martha Stewart Living. She was also the founding editor of Cookie magazine.
Pilar currently lives in Manhattan with her husband, Chris Mitchell, with whom she wrote the best-selling home décor book, “Patina Modern.”
