概要
Linda Philips & Michelle Milne of FAST (Finglas Addiction Support Team) recently joined us to chat about the organisation, the services that they provide, how addiction has evolved over the last few years, and also how the launch of their mobile outreach programme has gone.
The Finglas Addiction Support Team (FAST) was originally set up by a group of volunteers from the Finglas community who realised that there were limited services for drug users and family members in the area. The service began in late 2004, and in 2011 they moved to a purpose-built building on Wellmount Road, Finglas. During this time the service has grown and developed rapidly and specifically targets drug and alcohol users at various stages of drug use and recovery.
