Welcome to episode 106, in which Ben takes a leaf out of Claire's book and explores a historical Tasmanian crime story.
Venturing back more than 200 years, sealers working along the coastline had already been in contact with Aboriginal tribes, mainly to steal their women.
So when a large part of the state's North-West corner was taken over by the Van Diemen's Land Company to set up a grazing operation, tensions continued to rise with the Indigenous population - coming to a head with a horrendous attack that became known as the Cape Grim Massacre.
Then to finish things off, Claire marks Sir David Attenborough's recent 100th birthday with a story about a discovery made on the legendary BBC nature documentarian's London property that helped solve part of a gruesome Victorian murder mystery...
