After Samantha and Amanda help Joey discharge his business in seconds while the City Finances officer, Mr. Stubenmyer had told Joey it could take weeks or months to complete the process, Joey is upset that he’s only getting $4,000 back. Amanda says it’s because he took out the cheapest insurance. Giselle says they must go as soon as possible so he can get to her mom’s and find more work. Samantha asks for at least one night to stay in town so she can see her friends. She then goes back to see Josh so it can be a real goodbye since neither of them knew that at her earlier visit in the morning. It’s a melancholy goodbye, neither of them wanting for her to go. She then goes to Kamala’s. A bunch of girls show up to give her a farewell party. The next morning, she comes out to meet her parents in the car and they’re off.
