  • When You Don't Feel Like It
    2026/09/18

You love your mom, but some days you just don't feel like doing it. You may be exhausted, dealing with hormones, adjusting to seasonal changes, or simply tired of doing the same things day after day. And that doesn't make you a bad daughter or caregiver. In this episode, we'll talk about allowing yourself to feel tired and frustrated, taking small moments to rest and care for yourself, and then showing up anyway—even when you don't feel like it.

  • When You Know Your Mom Is Getting Worse But Nobody Is Saying It
    2026/09/11

Have you ever left your mom's doctor's appointment and thought, "She's getting worse…but nobody is really talking about it"?

Maybe her health is declining. She's weaker. She's not doing the things she used to do. The doctor changes medications or orders more tests, but everyone just keeps moving forward like everything is fine.

    Meanwhile, you're scared.

You're wondering how much time you have, what the next stage will look like, and whether you should even bring it up.

In this episode, we're going to talk about how to have those difficult conversations—with your mom, her doctor, and your family—before you're forced to have them in the middle of a crisis.

I'll give you simple ways to start these conversations, questions you can ask, and ways to begin emotionally preparing for the next stage without living every day in fear of what is coming.

Because you don't have to wait until your loved one dies to start getting support for your grief. And you don't have to pretend everything is fine just because nobody is saying it out loud.

  • How to Care for Yourself When You Don't Even Know What You Need
    2026/07/24

When you're grieving, so much of your energy goes into simply surviving—or caring for everyone else—that you can lose touch with yourself.

Then someone asks, "What do you need?" and your mind goes completely blank.

In this episode, we're talking about why that happens and one simple exercise that can begin reconnecting you with yourself.

I'll encourage you to make a list of 20 small things you genuinely enjoy—from ice in your water, a favorite coffee, fresh flowers, a walk outside, getting your nails done, reading a good book, or wandering through your favorite store. None of these have to be big or expensive. The goal is simply to remember what brings you comfort and joy.

As you begin noticing these little things, you'll not only care for yourself better—you'll also be able to communicate your needs when the people who love you ask how they can help.

If you've forgotten what makes you feel like you, this episode is for you.

    2026/07/17

Have you ever finally found the courage to share your grief, only to walk away feeling even more alone?

In this episode, we're talking about the pain of opening your heart and receiving responses that minimize, dismiss, or try to fix your grief. We'll explore why these interactions hurt so deeply, why most people aren't trying to be hurtful, and how to discern who is safe to share your grief with. Most importantly, we'll remember that Jesus understands what it feels like to suffer—and He never turns away from your pain.

If you've ever thought, "Maybe I just shouldn't talk about my grief anymore," this episode is for you.

  • How to Survive the Fourth of July While Grieving
    2026/07/03

The Fourth of July can bring unexpected waves of grief. Barbecues, fireworks, family gatherings, empty chairs, and traditions can all remind you of the person you love.

Instead of hoping you'll "get through it," what if you went into the holiday with a plan?

In this episode, I share why having a grief plan can lower anxiety, help you feel more in control, and give yourself permission to change course when emotions become overwhelming. I'll walk you through my own three-step approach:

Option A: If you're feeling emotionally and physically well enough to participate.

Option B: If grief begins to feel heavy and you need to make adjustments.

Option C: If you realize you simply need to step away and care for yourself.

There is no right or wrong way to grieve. There is only the invitation to listen to what your heart needs.

If you're looking for additional support throughout the summer, I also share my video series, Grief Doesn't Take the Summer Off, designed to help you navigate vacations, family gatherings, holidays, and all the unique challenges that summer can bring while grieving.

You don't have to figure this out alone.

I love you, and we'll take the next steps together.
