In this episode we are talking with Marica Mezzelani from the project PHARMASEA which stands for Presence, behavior and risk assessment of pharmaceuticals in marine ecosystems. She works at the Polytechnic University of Marche in Italy. We talk about pharmaceutical residues in aquatic ecosystems and how to assess the risk they pose. We also talk about why pharmaceuticals in water are a problem and what we can all do to tackle it.
