Welcome to Episode 11 of Panels & Pacing: An Animation Editing Podcast. Today I'll be talking to my friend Tony Ostyn, animatic and dialogue editor with credits such as Rocko's Modern Life, Angry Beavers, SpongeBob and Mira Royal detective.
Tony and I worked together on Mira Royal Detective, and along with the other members of the editorial crew there, became fast friends and developed a tight-knit unit.
Josh and Tony discuss Tony's early career at Nickelodeon, where he not only helped edit on Spongebob Squarepants and Angry Beavers, but he also created the fonts for both shows.
Tony has had a long career spanning Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and various other animation series. Throughout, Tony and Josh discuss various editing processes, workflows, and how differently things can be from one studio to the other, but you always learn from your colleagues.
