  • In this episode I give a broad overview of Not Exactly Music.  This episode includes an introduction into topics such as sensory studies, Dalcroze Eurhythmics, Laban Studies, and Synesthesia.  The podcast touches on topics including anthropology, psychology, the performing arts, Deaf studies, and special education.  I provide an idea of my background in the performing arts and in special education.  I discuss how the purpose of the podcast is to demonstrate that Deaf and autistic people can reap the benefits of music through senses in addition to sound.  My guiding principles include cultural relativism and constructivism.
