HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! We are so excited to hearken back (get it :)) to Deborah Harkness’s first book in the All Souls series, A Discovery of Witches! We read this about 10 years ago and luckily all the nostalgic feels from this fantasy book came back.

Christine brings you a chamomile tea latte, cocktail version. Why? Because we needed to make a book cocktail using ingredients that Matthew & Diana say each other smelled like, of course. We call it the “DATTHEW” - This is the couple's name and we will not be taking feedback at this time.

We dive into Discovery of Witches and chat Matthew Clairmont (only allowed to be said in a French accent), wine and tea, patriarchal dynamics (wow we’re fun), negative reviews, idyllic settings, Ysabeau (ugh, love her), and what we would name our magic houses.

As per usual we bring you our castings and MVP of the episode!

Check out our other Nostalgic read episodes and romantasy series breakdowns.
