What happens when God asks you to surrender the very thing you worked so hard to build?
In Episode 65 of the Well Done Women Podcast, I'm reading from Chapter 29 of You're Not Crazy, You're Called: The Invitation to Surrender.
I'm taking you back to the day our business finally reached the seven-figure goal we had worked toward for years. It should have felt like the finish line. But on that very same day, God asked me to let it go.
Yep. The same day. (Talk about a crazy call.)
Following Jesus will cost us something. In Luke 9:23–24, Jesus invites us to deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow Him. Your surrender may not look like mine, but there will be things God asks you to place in His hands.
The question is not only, "What is God calling me to do?"
The deeper question is, "What is God asking me to surrender so I can follow Him?"
Because on the other side of surrender is not an easier life or a more predictable one. It is the abundant life Jesus offers us. A life marked by His presence, His freedom, and the joy of knowing we are following Him wherever He leads.
