Who decided what beauty is supposed to look like—and why did everyone else agree to it?

In this episode of Talk of the Tavern, Travis, Andrea, and Ed explore body positivity, physical attraction, changing beauty standards, and the complicated difference between appreciating someone’s appearance and reducing them to it.

From curves, muscles, scars, wrinkles, and dad bods to filtered photos and impossible celebrity standards, the crew examines why certain bodies are celebrated while others are mocked—and how confidence, personality, culture, and personal preference shape what people find attractive.

Because beauty comes in countless forms… and Shirley from Accounting has apparently been carrying the entire quarterly report.

So grab a drink, loosen the waistband, and join us for a conversation about attraction, confidence, self-image, and learning to appreciate the human body without turning every compliment into an HR incident.
