SHOW NOTES In Podcast Episode 389, “Plow Up the Hard Ground of Your Hearts!” Kim discusses the word picture in Jeremiah 4 of the hard soil and the thorns. Whether our heart has a fully hard soil area or a hard area of ground, the Lord calls on us to “Plow up the hard ground of [our] hearts!” Even if our heart soil isn’t stone hard, that does not mean that we do not have some thorns that are choking out some of our growth and spiritual fruit. Our focal passage for this episode is Jeremiah 4:1-4, with 3-4 as the focal verses: 3 This is what the Lord says to the people of Judah and Jerusalem: “Plow up the hard ground of your hearts! Do not waste your good seed among thorns. 4 O people of Judah and Jerusalem, surrender your pride and power. Change your hearts before the Lord, or my anger will burn like an unquenchable fire because of all your sins.
