Jamie joins me to talk all things women's sports, flag football, tackle football, coaching, and somehow convincing me to care about football for an hour.
We get into how she went from playing basketball in college to becoming a quarterback for the St. Louis Slam, one of the top women's tackle football teams in the country, and helping launch Edwardsville's girls flag football program.
We talk about what it's like coaching a brand-new sport, the growth of girls flag football, college scholarship opportunities, and why football has become such an important part of her life.
We also get into the reality of playing women's tackle football, from paying your own way to travel and compete, to balancing practices with a full-time job, and the friendships that keep players coming back year after year.
Plus: women's sports, photography, travel, and why athletes never really stop looking for their next team.
