What does it mean to be truly courageous?
Biblical courage isn't the absence of fear, and it isn't reserved for extraordinary heroes whose names fill history books. Courage is choosing to trust and obey God even when we're afraid, uncertain, uncomfortable, or facing opposition. Throughout Scripture, ordinary people demonstrated remarkable courage because their confidence rested not in themselves, but in the faithfulness and presence of God.
Episode 33 explores what biblical courage really looks like and how we can develop it in everyday life. From Joshua and David to Esther, Daniel, Peter, and John, Scripture shows us that courage grows when our trust in God becomes greater than our fear of circumstances.
Most of us won't face giants, lions' dens, or hostile kings, but we encounter opportunities for courage every day. Telling the truth, admitting a mistake, forgiving someone, defending what is right, sharing our faith, and stepping outside our comfort zones all require courage. Each small act of obedience strengthens us for the challenges that may come tomorrow.
