On this episode we speak to Moses, 45, who is a husband, parent, and sober man from the coast of Kenya, now 17 years in London. He first drank at 12—the relief from his restless, irritable, discontented spirit was instant. For decades, that became his solution. Until it wasn’t. Alcoholism drove him into alcohol-induced psychosis, hopeless and beaten to the point of finally accepting help on 3rd May 2020. He didn’t know the real problem was the obsession, not the drink. But by becoming teachable and acquiring spiritual toolkits, he experienced a profound spiritual awakening. Today, he lives happy, joyous, and free—from the bottle and the bondage of self.
The aim of Black & Sober - The Podcast is to share and connect with people from a drinking culture, especially those from the black community who have chosen to go against the grain and enjoy life without alcohol!
