Day 5. Vekeana confronts Maya’s phone with the news she’s heard that that Maya was chatting with a common friend of theirs the other night even though she has yet to answer or return any of Vekeana’s calls. At least from the blue ticks she’s assured that Maya is indeed listening to her messages. It’s frustrating. Vekeana segues into consoling herself about taking control of what you can control which for her means grappling for the remote after a day of WFH. The art of negotiating over what to watch isn’t without conniptions, okay—mostly hers.
