  • You Don't Need More Time to Minimize
    2026/08/26

You don't have time to minimize until you realize you don't have time to wait anymore.

In this episode, Lauren breaks down the real reason most people put off minimizing: the belief that it requires a free weekend, an empty nest, or a season of life that never actually comes. She unpacks two reasons waiting is costing you: the time you don't get back, and the people who are waiting for you to show up as your fullest self.

Then she walks through the one-minute timer practice that took her from a postpartum haze to finishing a full garage reset with her husband, Aaron, in 13 five-minute sessions over three weeks. That practice became the 5 in 5™ System — Perspective, Purpose, Prompt, Place, Protect — Lauren's five-minute minimizing framework for creating space anywhere in your home.

Mini Move: Pick one small, low-stakes space — a drop zone, a kitchen counter, a laundry pile — and give it five minutes today. Then share this episode with someone who needs to hear it.

  • The Perspective Pivot™ — Why You Struggle to Let Go
    2026/08/12

The Perspective Pivot: Why You Struggle to Let Go

Your clutter isn't the real problem — what it's costing you is. In this episode, Lauren Craddock introduces her signature framework, the Perspective Pivot™, using a deeply personal story about the hobby materials she carried through multiple houses for years without ever using them again.

    In this episode:

    • Why decluttering tips fail without addressing what's underneath them
    • The three-part Perspective Pivot™ framework: Recognize the Cost, Reveal the Story, Choose with Intention
    • The two stories (scarcity and identity) that keep high-capacity people stuck longer than anyone admits
    • Why letting go of an item isn't the same as saying your time with it was wasted
    • This week's challenge: a low-stakes place to practice the framework yourself

If this episode made you think of someone — a friend, a colleague, a spouse who needs to hear this — send it to them right now. Word of mouth is how this show grows, and you'd be doing them a real favor.

  • Decluttering vs. Minimalism: Why One Didn't Change My Life
    2026/07/29

Decluttering vs. Minimalism: Why One Didn't Change My Life

Decluttering and minimalism get used like they mean the same thing. They don't — and mixing them up is why so many organizing efforts don't stick.

In this episode, I go back to a season years ago when I was a young, overwhelmed mom spending hours every night resetting a house that never stayed reset. I found decluttering, threw myself into it — I even filmed myself clearing out my closet — and it worked, for a while. Then the clutter came back, because I'd removed the stuff without ever examining why I'd accumulated it in the first place.

I walk through why "declutter" is only an action, while minimalism functions as a verb, a noun, and an identity — and why that distinction matters more than it sounds. Clutter isn't the problem. It's the symptom of stories and habits underneath that haven't been addressed yet. I also share how my own core priorities (family, faith, impact) became the filter that made letting go of things easier, and why minimalism works best as a practice you build in small, compounding steps rather than a one-time project.

  • Organizing Didn't Change My Life. This Did.
    2026/07/29

Lauren didn't wake up wanting to be a minimalist — for years, she thought the answer to her clutter was better organizing. Bigger bins. More baskets. A three-car garage with custom shelving. In this episode, she traces her story from a $450 carpeted-kitchen duplex early in marriage to the two-story farmhouse where the clutter finally caught up with her — and the moment she realized organizing wasn't fixing anything, because she was solving the wrong problem.

What changed everything: discovering minimalism through Joshua Becker's work, and learning to notice the stories she told herself before every purchase. The result — buying habits that finally made sense, and nearly two full waking weeks a year given back just from a shorter nightly reset.
