    Okay… grab a cup of tea and a biscuit if you have one, because big news just hit the airwaves and it’s the kind of news that will make you sit up and take notice.

    The government announced on 08/07/2025, a ban against your bosses using coercive sneaky non disclosure agreements, which we spoke about in last week’s episode. Now, your employer will no longer be able to use settlement agreements; sometimes called confidentiality agreements; sometimes called non disclosure agreements; and, also called gagging orders – to stop you talking about criminal behaviour or bad treatment at work.

    We bring you the full details in this week’s podcast!

    As we near the end of our mini-series on coercive dismissals, we perhaps come to one of the most coercive and caustic ways in which your boss can get rid of you by using coercive measures. This week, we look at one of the least talked-about areas, which is the use of Settlement Agreements or compromise agreements, to make you sign away your employment rights and leave your job - in the belief, that signing the agreement is the only option you have to leave your job and not face any further action by your employer.

This week, continuing with coercive dismissals, we take a look at constructive dismissals where employers actively force you to leave your job, buy using coercive bad treatment, to make your position untenable. We’ll also look at how you challenge these types of dismissals, using successful employment tribunal cases which give you an insight into the circumstances other workers faced before they quit their jobs and brought a case to a tribunal.
