ABOUT THIS MESSAGE:
The Declaration of Independence of the United States of America is a treasured document to many. It's treasured because Americans realize their freedom is not guaranteed. The buzz words of political stances divide and, if that means I rebel against the government, then so be it! God's Word gives us an unexpected truth in the world of being a Christian who lives within our government. God has established the governmental authority in our lives, and we are called to obey whenever the authority does not command us to sin. Because Jesus has won our salvation, we are free to serve our neighbors and let God's Word inform our choice of political activities as we seek to be faithful to our calling as Christian citizens.
