  • Ever feel like life just gets hard and MESSY sometimes? Because, girl - ME TOO. Welcome to the Eighth & Grace Podcast. I’m Brandy. Daily, I delicatly juggle and balance being a mama, wife, nanna B, seminary student, writer, Bible teacher, coffee re-heater, and recovering overthinker. Also, going on 16-years of being a Nurse Practitioner. So when I say I’ve seen messy, I reallyyyy mean it. But, the physical body can sometimes be a lot easier to treat than the emotional and spiritual aspects of our body. You see the pain, most of the time, you can fix the pain. Our faith and emotions aren’t quite so obvious. After walking alongside women through the high and hard seasons of life, I wanted to create a grace space for messy faith - so we can all know we aren’t alone and be singing GIRL ME TOO collectively. WE are in this TOGETHER. Life is hard. AND you're covered in grace. Life is complicated. AND you can still hope again. Both can be true and I want to stand with you as I remind us that God is still good. Even when this world is broken. Eighth & Grace is a hub for broken vessels so we will be covering everything from the mundane moments of everyday life and self exploration to clinging to our faith and holding onto the thread of Jesus garment. Girl, you’ve got a place here. And I’m so honored to be part of your journey. Let's grow together. I’m Brandy and this is the Eighth & Grace Podcast. https://www.brandyadawson.com/

If you're worn out by silent expectations, unseen timelines, or the pressure to live someone else's version of "right," this conversation is a holy pause.

In this vunerable and hope - filled episode, I sit down with my friend Stephanie May Wilson- author, podcaster, and a tender voice for women longing to ive from truth. We talk about what it means to come home to yourself in a world that constantly asks you to perform, to achieve, to keep pace with expectations that God never placed on you.

Fom her bold move across the world to the quiet transformation of therapy and friendship, Stephanie''s story is a living testimony: grace makes room for change. And sometimes, the most sacred thing we can do is begin again.

    What we unpack together:

    • How therapy and self - awareness help uncover your truest self
    • Why courage often looks like quitting what no longer fits
    • The sacred strength of wise, honest female friendships
    • Navigating life transitions- including motherhood, with grace- not guilt
    • Letting fo of timelines and trusting God's slower, better way

If you're in the in-between naming your longing but not sure yet how to live into it- this episode is for you. It's a reminder that life is not on hold. You are not behind. And it's not too late.

As Stephanie says "A beautiful olife is something you can build and rebuild as often as you need."

So breathe deep. The pressure is not holy. Grace is calling you forward.

So, whether you're facing a major life decision or feeling pressured by invisible timelines, this is a conversation is for you and anyone who feels caught in the in-between or who's quietly wondering, Is this all there is? • What About This? | Holy Ghost + Hot Rollers
    2025/05/02

What do you do when you're getting ready for the day, spiritually abd literally- and you still feel like a hot mess?

In this episode of What About This,? Brandy Dawson shares a hilarious and heartfelt story from the Kerygma Summit: A Pray + Yap hat, undone roots, a bathroom counter full of Color Wow powder, and a God who meets us right in the middle of it all.

This is a lighthearted but powerful reflection on hpw the Holy Spirit doesn't wait until we're polished or perfect to show up. He moves in the raw, real, roller-in-your-hair-moments. Because your quiet yes, even in the unseen and ordinary is Kingdom ground.

    Takeaways from this episode:

You don't need to be polished to be powerful

the Holy Spirit moves in bathrooms, backseats, and broken places.

Authentic obedience is more important than appearance.

Even when you feel out of place, you are seen, and spiritually marked

God meets you right where you are, with roots showing and heart wide open.

So whether you're listening mid meltdown or mid- makeup routine, this one is for you.

    He is with you.
