  • Episode 153: Angels and Demons with Dennis Pishock
    2025/03/25

In todays episode we return to the life and lessons surrounding first responders.

I can think of noone better than todays guest, Dennis Pishock. He is a 24 year veteran in Law Enforcement, Firefighting, Swift Water Rescue, EMT-I, and Peer Support.

He hold's rank in multiple martial arts, defensive tactics & combatives.

He holds certifications in all aspects of public safety, including SPEAR Instructor, Defensive Tactics Instructor, Peer Support Counselor, Hostage Negotiator, EMT-I, and Swift Water Technician. Dennis also is the author of “Demons and Angels”, a book about Trauma, Peer Support and how to care for yourself while in a career in public safety. Dennis ran his own martial arts school for 17 years and has always demonstrated an uncanny ability to motivate employees and to lead teams through high stress situations.

I hope that the topics discuss add perspective to the people who operate under the immense stress daily and help to keep our communitys safe. I have often spoke out about the importance of our Law Enforcement Officers training in defensive tactics and relying on physical fitness to power through the obstacles in life. Dennis embodies the exact characteristics we need to ripple though our LEO's.

  • Episode 153: Talking Through Tension with Thomas Di Giorgio
    2025/03/06

It is no secret that I am not a political expert. You do not have to be one to talk with someone about things surrounding America.

In this crazy time of political tension it can seem hard to discuss anything with the ones around you. Today we try to contradict that.

As a new segment of ELOTDE we are sitting down with someone to discuss local, Federal and International Political topics in a unconventional matter and thinking through the different opinions we hear about current events.

One of the major failures I see in our country is that we forget we are first and foremost neighbors. The political stances we take do not define us nor should we let our identity dissolve into a political party.

As we continue to do these episodes I hope it acts as a conversation starter for you and the people around you. I truly believe we can find common ground on at least one thing we hold dear to our hearts.

THIS EPISODE CONTANS ASPECTS THAT MAY BE EMOTIONALLY TRIGGERING. AND UNSUITABLE FOR CHILDREN.
