Episode 110: Churchville

On this weeks episode we are hanging out with Mike Akel... aka Pastor Todd Bishop & creator of "Churchville".

We discuss his idea for the show and how it came about, as well as his journey as a filmmaker/actor/producer & High School Teacher.

Churchville: "The Office meets Arrested Development in the chaotic world of modern American church culture."

This show is smart, funny and an insight into the Christian Church and how we as human beings tend to get in our own way, trying to lead people to Christ and navigate our way through our calling and the difficulties of things like pride, envy and sometimes just sticking our foot in our mouth.

This is definitely satire & comedy, but with heart. Laughter brings joy into our lives. It's the best medicine, right. Often times in the church world we take ourtselves too seriouly.

It's good to be able to sit back and make fun our ourselves, but do it in a way that isn't degrading or demaning and filled with filth.Churchville is definitely that. It's a great way to enjoy clean, wholesome content/entertainment, all while having a good laugh, at our expense, without offending or degrading the church.

The creators of Churchville are actively funding the show.

Help them build Season 1 together, and become a Churchville Founder!
